The room’s walls are adorned with tapestries that were designed and created by members of the Hastings and District Interfaith Embroidery Group and are based upon their own interpretations of the word ‘sanctuary’. These tapestries help to create an atmosphere of peaceful reflection and calm.

Hospice Chaplain, Geoff Driver, said: “Our Multi-Faith Room will welcome patients and their friends and family along with staff members and volunteers into an environment that offers a time for quiet reflection and prayer. We’re currently gathering resources to enable people to practice their faith in a peaceful setting. The room features an iPod docking station to allow visitors to listen to their own spiritually uplifting music and we’re also offering access to online resources. Our beautiful Chapel, dedicated to St Augustine, will continue to be a place of worship and prayer for all.”
